News from the IMD COVID-19 Committee
Here are two must know items from the IMD COVID-19 Committee
1. IMD will not arrange transportation or lodging for IMD athletes that qualify for the U16 Regional Championships and the U14 Regional Championships. This includes staff as well. Athletes will either have to travel with parents or their clubs if that is an option. Championship staff will have staff meetings via Zoom.
2. The U14 Speed project at Soldier Mountain will be conducted as a day camp model this year. The project is on January 31st-February 2nd. This is a Monday-Wednesday. Transportation and Lodging will not be coordinated through IMD. This will be up to families and/or clubs to arrange this. We will have a project announcement out no later than December 15th. There is 1 hotel in Fairfield, which is the closest town to the ski area. There are also hotels in Bellevue and Hailey which are 45-55 minutes away from the ski area.
Unfortunately, COVID is still here and we have had to make adjustments accordingly.
